Tempting the Player by J. Lynn (The Gamble Brothers #2)

I thought I really liked the story of Maddie and Chase. But I thought wrong. The story of Bridget and Chad (another Gamble brother) blew their story out of the water. I loved it.

The story starts very steamy and you'll be drawn in immediately. I really liked Bridget as a main character and Chad turns out to be even better than Chase. The story suprised me on a few things and I laughed quite a few times while reading this book.

I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because just like the first book, the ending was too rushed. You once again have aaaaaaaaall this build up and 'will they, won't they' and then the ending is completely rushed. It is a lovely ending, but I just would've liked it if the pace fitted the story better and it was a little better worked out.

But all in all, a great new adult romance, that I would recommend to all NA lovers.

Tempting The Best Man by J. Lynn (The Gamble Bothers #1)

Tempting the best man is I think the third book I've read from J. Lynn. It's not my favorite out of the three, but it certainly is a nice read.

The book starts with Maddie having to go to the wedding of her brother. She loves her brother and his bride to be, the real problem with the wedding is the best man. Maddie has been head over heels for Chase since she was a child. I found myself liking Maddie and when Chase is introduced, I really liked him as well.

When they are forced to share a cabin together the sparks fly everywhere and you'll be very interested to find out how things will develop from there. I also liked that for once the female main character wasn't a virgin, because there are just too many new adult books like that these days and I think it's a little unrealistic. I liked Chase, though the whole 'bad guy, but really deep down inside good guy' is a tad cliche.

So, all in all it was a very fun, enjoyable read for me. I give it three stars and not higher, because it's a very short story and there's all this build up during the story, but then the ending is completely rushed. A lot of things happened and changed and then changed again in the last 20 pages of the book and I just found myself wishing that the story was longer than it was, so that it didn't feel so rushed.

I'd recommend this book to people who are looking for a rather short, sweet, steamy read.

Frigid by J Lynn

I was debating a little how much stars to give this book. Is it a good read? Yes. Is it the best book I've read by this author? No. Is it a story without flaws? No.

Sydney has been in love with Kyler since she was a little girl, but Kyler has been to busy man-whoring around. I liked Sydney from the beginning. I however didn't really like Kyler that much and his man-whoring ways put me off a little.

It was a fun read and steamy with a bit of suspense added into it. I did however found it quite obvious from the get go who was hanging around their house and messing with them. So maybe it wasn't too suspenseful.

I'm not sure I can really put my finger on it why I didn't love this book that much. I guess something was just missing in this book for me.
I enjoyed reading it, but I never really got to the point where I LOVED reading it.

It is however a fun short read, so if you like the NA genre, this is surely a book to check out.

Wait for you by J Lynn

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's the story of Avery and Cam.
Avery moved a long way away to escape her cold and unloving parents and on the first the day of class she runs in to Cam, as in - she literally ran into him and the story begins.

I liked Avery a lot. She is a good girl with a good head on her shoulders. The story foreshadows that something happened to Avery during her childhood and I won't give away what. But it's not that hard to guess as the story develops.

“I'm beginning to think cookies is a code word for something else."
"Maybe it is." He tugged on my bag again as he took a confident step back, forcing me down another step. "And just think about it. If cookie was a code word, whatever it symbolizes, it's been in your mouth, sweetheart.” 

Cam is a great guy who sweeps Avery of her feet. Though she keeps fighting the attraction she falls for him. I liked that Cam never really gives up on her and they are very enjoyable and funny together. I found myself laughing out loud at several moments. There's also a lot of attraction between them and you'll find that you wished you could join Cam in one of his cold showers.

“You've been checking me out, haven't you? In between your flaming insults? I feel like man candy.”

It's a great new adult book and I'm very glad I gave it a chance. I'll be reading more books from this writer and I can't wait for the following books to get published!
