3/5 Hearts
I didn't like this book as much as the first one, and I wasn't blown away by the first one either.
This books starts with a 'shocking' confession from Pete, that kind of just ruined the first book for me. It's like nothing that happened in that book had any point and was just thrown out the window. It was very frustrating.
Sydney pushes Pete away after this and goes home alone with Millie. I like Millie, but she rushes out of the story as fast as she entered it and her place is taken bij Pete. You get to know him better and some parts were funny and I enjoyed reading them. But are just too many... weird things in this book.
The whole truth about Pete is just too ridicilous and kind of makes fun at the entire story. The unrealistic tone of this is what takes the enjoyment out of it a little.
The heat between them from the first book is really toned down. It isn't gone, but it didn't seem as 'impressive' as in the first book.
The story is short, has a decent ending and was enjoyable, so if you're looking for that, you should read it.
